“IT” was released today in theatres across North America. DEC’s own J.R. Kenny worked on “IT” as a set Key. J.R. tells us there were some scenes in this film that were genuinely scaring crew members on set while filming!
The DEC Team recently attended the Visual Effects Society 2017 Summer party. It’s always fun getting out and having a few beers with some of the brightest minds in the special effects world. We have worked closely with the VFX houses in Toronto over the years and it’s good to keep in touch and catch up. Cheers to Special Effects in Toronto!
We had a great time working on this project. This video was shot down in the abandoned subway station in the heart of downtown Toronto. Toronto has become one of the great cities in the world and it was an honour and a pleasure to work with such a great collection of Toronto-based talent. Creating Special Effects in Toronto working alongside Toronto’s best was a great experience.
DEC’s own Tony Kenny was in Vancouver this month working a secondary unit for Deadpool 2. We can’t wait to see this film in theatres
The DEC team travelled to Morocco to shoot this film. Under the direction of Jason Hall, we executed a collection of excellent war-time Special Effects. It was our 2nd time travelling to and creating Special Effects in Morocco for a film and everything went very smoothly the 2nd time around. We can’t wait to go back.
Review for Ang Lee’s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.” This film will premiere at the New York Film Festival in October, 2016 .
In 2015 Dynamic Effects Canada travelled to Erfoud, Morocco for Ang Lee’s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.” Shooting on location in the Moroccan heat in June was challenging but we enjoyed every minute of it. Bullet hits, 50 cals and RPG explosions…check out the official trailer for a sneak preview of the Special Effects we did.
For the first quarter of 2016, The DEC Team flew back to Morocco to film Jason Hall’s “Thank You For Your Service.” Morocco treated us so well the 1st time we didn’t wait long to go back! Creating special effects for another war movie meant another round of the good stuff….bullets, smoke, dust, fire, and RPG explosions…doesn’t get much better than that. We had a blast and look forward to seeing the upcoming trailer.
